Keep some of the cooking water, then drain and set aside. Heat olive oil and butter over medium heat in a large skillet. Add the chopped onion and cook until it turns translucent. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and continue cooking until they become tender. Stir in the tomato paste, dried oregano, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and heavy cream.
