• 1 8oz block greek feta
• 1 large egg
• 1/4 cup all purpose flour
• 1/2 cup panko
• 1 tsp paprika
• salt + pepper to taste

vegetable oil, for frying

Salad:
• romaine, chopped
• red onion, sliced
• cherry tomatoes, halved

Instructions:
• Cut feta into 1/2 cubes. Dip each in egg, flour, egg, then panko! Transfer to pan of vegetable oil that’s hot over medium heat. Fry 1-2 minutes each side or until golden brown. Remove, let cool, drizzle with hot honey and add to your salad!

I immediately knew I had to make it. It starts with roasting a block of feta cheese, which makes the cheese even softer and creamier. It also brings out the saltiness and flavor of the cheese. Then, honey is added to the roasted feta. I chose to use hot honey. The little kick of spice combined with the sweet honey is so good.

What ingredients are in oven-baked feta with sesame seeds:
• Gluten-free all purpose flour – or use a regular all purpose flour if you prefer or aren’t gluten free.
• Egg – I don’t have an egg substitute here – it is needed to make the feta be covered with the sesame seeds and flour
• White sesame seeds – we use these to coat the block of feta fully!
• Block of feta cheese – I usually get one from Trader Joe’s! Make sure to pat it dry before coating so it isn’t too wet
• Tomatoes – this is technically optional but I love adding them to make this a large appetizer with the tomatoes too
• To serve: crackers, veggies, anything! You can also drizzle honey on top if you want too
