I like to do this with all of my bows because it gives me something to staple into and attach it to the sign. I purchased this floral ribbon at Hobby Lobby. It is important that the ribbon you're using is a wired ribbon. Now you're just going to cut three separate pieces about 18 inches long. Next you're going to fold it over like you see me do here. After it's folded I want to say it's about eight inches long. Now I'm just using a bit of hot glue to make these into loops. You'll only do that with two of the 18 inch pieces. You'll also need to cut a smaller piece about three inches long. You'll also fold that one and make it into a small loop. You'll stack the three pieces on top of each other like this making sure that the seam side is up. Next you'll use a zip tie to attach them like you see me do here. Don't pull it all the way tight at first. You're going to want to slide the last 18 inch long piece through the like this. This piece will be the tails. After you slide that piece through, you'll tighten the zip tie all the way and then you're just going to fluff your bow up. I do have to pull on it a lot since the zip tie is tight to get it fluffy the way that I like it. Now, just use another zip tie to attach the ribbon to the burlap. Just pull that tight in the back and cut off the extra. Now, I'm going to dovetail the ends of the bow. You don't have to. You can just cut straight across and here's the finished bow. I'm going to use this on a spring door hanger tomorrow.
